I’m often asked why I don’t refill bottles. The research I’ve done indicates
(1) Risk of bacteria that can grow mold because the used bottle was not sanitized

Though the re-use movement is great, mold in your lotion is not. And that can happen if the bottle was not properly sanitized or exposed to elements before they were filled. In addition, there are requirements by the FDA for labeling of products sold including hazards, ingredients, size, and the address of the retailer so that customers can be informed. Be informed before partaking in a trend…it may do more harm than good.
